My intentions for 2021 and gift for you

I Love New Year time… It’s filled with so much fun celebration joy… basically when feminine energy takes center stage. It’s also the time to tap into our desires to create something new and open up to new possibilities .

I am a Gynaecologist Obstetrician ( MD, DNB OBGYN )with an emphasis on INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE.

It’s also really a great time for self reflection on what we really want and seen as a golden opportunity to change our quality of life by changing an undesirable trait or behavior we want to fix.

If you follow me long enough you also know that I am a personal development and self growth junkie. New year resolutions used to be a big part of my list but most of these resolutions faded by January end and felt like work to do. Hence this year I replaced my new year resolutions with the word intention…. Which is more in line with feminine wisdom and my inner voice guiding me…I feel its coming from a place of self-love rather than self reprimandation. It really feels good to make peace with all parts of myself…the good ,the bag , the ugly rather than seeing myself and my body as an unending project to work on…. I find following steps really helpful.

  1. Accepting myself where I am right now.
  2. Reflect on what I loved about what I already have and giving gratitude.
  3. Write down my intentions…

My intentions for 2021:

  1. We are living in a healthy, peaceful, fear free world.
  2. We are honoring our feminine design by respecting our period cycle and circadian rhythms.
  3. We are tuned and tapped into feminine energy and balance it with masculine energy.
  4. We are compassionate with our bodies by giving it adequate rest and self care.
  5. People in my life who have believed in me (YOU! ) are healthier, more in love and more joyful!!


One of the things which usually features in New Year resolution list is lose weight and Detox! New Year has become the time when we are prompted to both detox and lose weight . It’s a good time to reflect on what is your definition of detox and is this Detox obsession serving you? I am saying this because for many people the idea of detoxing goes hand in hand with cutting down calories , complete food groups, eating very little or even fasting. Detox does not mean starvation or deprivation. And if you are a lady suffering with hormone issues which I am presuming you are if you are following me, you may want to know how to feed your hormones if you want to preserve your periods and glow. Also winter is not the the best time to Detox aggressively. Ancient timeless wisdom from Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine knew that liver is fully available for Detox during Navratri ( spring and fall) seasons of the Year. Hence idea of aggressive Detox after January may not be the best idea . Instead in New Year, focus on eating clean nutrient rich diet full of greens veggies, healthy fats and proteins.

To make this process easier for you I am launching my SHE-TO diet, which is designed to keep YOU in mind, especially if you are a mature woman ( 30 plus). I have created it keeping women’s periods and hormones in mind and its my new year gift to you ! If you feel like doing Detox in the New Year then instead of crazy dieting, a better way is to boost your nutrient level and assist and support your body in eliminating toxins naturally . As I am growing older (and wiser hopefully…I am a 40 something mum of two), and knowing my tendency to ditch the resolutions in a month or two, this year I have replaced lose weight resolution with intention to be happier. Although losing some weight may improve our health, it’s not a marker of our happiness. After all we can be thin but still miserable if key parts of our lives are still not working. Hence my intention in 2021 for you and me is to find a happy and healthy you and find as much Joy as possible in 2021, that means practicing gratitude, being kind to yourself and your loved ones and strengthening our connection with self and others. After all happiness is associated with release of Oxytocin which is the master of natural weight loss. So my intention for this new year is to keep working towards living a healthier and happier life for myself and also to remain fully committed to making that happen for you my tribe!

Sharing what I have learnt with you guys is at the core of my life philosophy and when I find something that really works for women I get so excited and I try to do everything in my power to send this information out and help others. I realized that the best way to do this is to compile this information is an easy to use format: Launching SHE-TO!! Which is an acronym for diet component of true healing lifestyle. With huge excitement and gratitude I share this gift with you guys and I look forward to hearing what you have to say about it. I hope this blog will inspire you to take action needed to bring positive change in all areas of your life whatever your intentions may be I wish you a happy healthy joyous New Year
